Carat – the carat weight
Carat describes the weight of the diamond. The higher the carat weight, the larger the stone appears. However, the value does not depend solely on the size.

Cut – the cut
The cut determines the brilliance, i.e. how strongly a diamond sparkles. A very good cut reflects the light optimally back to the eye.

Colour – the colour
For white diamonds, the rule is: the more colourless the stone, the more valuable it usually is. Very light diamonds appear particularly clear and brilliant.

Clarity – the clarity
Clarity describes whether a diamond has natural inclusions. Many of these are hardly visible to the naked eye. The purer the stone, the rarer it is.

Lab grown diamonds are less expensive than comparable natural diamonds, which means that larger stones or higher qualities are possible for the same budget.
